A specialist attends the property to record accessible conditions, defect locations and measurements where relevant, with the extent of the inspection agreed beforehand.
Clear starting prices
On-site inspection from £495
A straightforward inspection of one accessible issue in Essex with recorded photographs and a brief written findings summary. A full technical report is a different package.
Prices shown are total customer starting prices, including VAT if applicable. Larger scopes, additional travel or special access are quoted and agreed before booking. No work is authorised by submitting an enquiry.
Compare services and feesWhen a physical visit adds value
A site visit is useful when the size, pattern, extent or position of defects cannot be judged reliably from photographs alone. We inspect agreed accessible workmanship on residential or commercial projects across the UK, subject to availability and site arrangements.
Typical inspection observations
- Cracking, debonding, uneven finishes and visible workmanship problems
- Opening surrounds, beads, movement joints, plinths and surface interfaces
- Locations and extent of affected areas, supported by photographs
- Measurements using suitable methods where safe and within the agreed scope
- Comparison with available project specifications and relevant manufacturer guidance
What happens on the day
- Agree the questions, systems, elevations or rooms to be inspected
- Confirm the fee, site access, travel and accommodation costs where applicable
- Review relevant documents and speak to the appropriate site contact
- Inspect accessible areas and record observations rather than assume the cause
- Provide brief written observations and separately agree any full technical report, if needed
Access, testing and reporting limits
A standard visit is not a whole-building survey or a structural, fire or concealed-system certification. Scaffolding, opening-up, laboratory testing and a full technical report are not included in the basic £495 visit; an inspection-and-report package starts at £895 locally. We record what could not be inspected and explain why further investigation may be appropriate.
Discuss your next step
Where findings remain uncertain, recommendations may include a limited follow-up visit, further evidence or a suitably qualified specialist.
