Privacy & data protection

Respect for your information.

A clear explanation of what we ask for, why we ask for it and how an initial inspection enquiry is handled.

Who is responsible for your information?

Final Measure Technical Consultancy is an independent sole-trader practice based in Essex, United Kingdom. The business acting as data controller is responsible for handling enquiries sent through this website.

Online submissions are not yet enabled. A verified business contact address and complete controller identity will be confirmed before the service opens.

Information collected when enquiries are enabled

We ask for your name, email address, optional telephone and company details, your role, the general project location, the affected trade and requested service, and your brief description of the concern. You may optionally name businesses involved so we can check for potential conflicts of interest before taking instructions.

Please do not submit payment details, sensitive personal information, confidential client documents or photographs through the initial enquiry form. File uploads are not available. A separate private method can be agreed if documents need review.

Why we use this information

We use enquiry details only to consider your request, contact you, review whether we can act impartially and discuss a possible scope and fee. The usual lawful bases are taking steps at your request before entering a contract and our legitimate interest in handling enquiries and identifying professional conflicts.

Submitting an enquiry is not acceptance of an instruction or agreement to a quotation. Enquiry information is not used for unsolicited marketing.

Where enquiry details go

If the secure form is enabled, your enquiry is validated on the server and sent by email to Final Measure using an external transactional email provider, Resend. Our website does not currently save a separate enquiry database. The business mailbox and its email providers may keep copies in accordance with their retention arrangements.

Cloudflare Turnstile is used to protect the form from automated abuse. Its verification service processes technical information needed to assess the challenge. Routine hosting and security systems may process IP addresses and browser details. The site also loads fonts from Google Fonts.

We must check relevant service-provider contracts and any international data-transfer arrangements before switching on the form for the public.

Retention and your rights

Our intended policy is to review unanswered or unsuccessful initial enquiries for deletion within 12 months. Where an instruction is agreed, relevant correspondence and reporting records may be retained longer for business, insurance and legal needs. Final retention arrangements will be signed off before launch.

Depending on your circumstances, you may request access, correction or deletion of your information and object to certain processing. You can raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
