Independent second opinions
A fresh technical view when workmanship findings are disputed.
A reasoned assessment of relevant evidence, previous opinions and the actual plastering, rendering or EWI system, independent of which party requests the review.

Desktop second opinion from £295
A focused independent review of a single existing technical opinion and agreed supporting papers. Site inspection and a substantial standalone report are separate scopes.
Prices shown are total customer starting prices, including VAT if applicable. Larger scopes, additional travel or special access are quoted and agreed before booking. No work is authorised by submitting an enquiry.
Compare services and feesWhen a second opinion helps
Disagreement about a render failure, a proposed repair or an earlier report can leave all parties uncertain. A scoped second opinion aims to explain what the existing evidence does and does not support before costly decisions are made.
What we may review
- The concern, chronology and work that has actually been disputed
- Existing reports, photographs, measurements and remedial recommendations
- Product specifications, installation guidance and relevant project records
- Alternative explanations for an observed condition
- Evidence gaps requiring inspection, testing or input outside our specialist remit
How independence is protected
- Identify the parties, prior involvement and potential conflicts of interest
- Agree the precise questions and the information each side can provide
- Consider relevant documents without presuming which account is correct
- Inspect the works if remote evidence alone is insufficient
- Provide the agreed observations or written opinion with limitations and uncertainty
A technical opinion is not a liability decision
We do not decide legal responsibility, guarantee that a dispute will be resolved or automatically provide expert-witness evidence. A second opinion may agree with some elements of an earlier assessment and disagree with others. Any proposed court instruction requires a separate suitability review.
Discuss your next step
If we have a conflict or the question requires expertise outside plastering, rendering or visible EWI workmanship, we will explain that before accepting an instruction.
